I think men should take their education more seriously than they already do now. Education is more important than many things in life. If you don’t have an education, how can you better for yourself, family, or anyone else? If women can earn an education and still do things then so can we as males.

In this article by Dennis Cauchon, he seems to think that men are becoming less educated then women. For example, in the text he states that “In nearly every case, the woman is better educated that the man.” He probably thinks this, because women earn more degrees than men. If men applied themselves, and tried they could earn a degree and actually achieve something in life. Another example is when Cauchon says that “the college gap is driving starting changes in the financial equations between men and women. This means that the number of degrees women earn over men is a number higher than expected. With them earning the degrees that they do, it’s going to help them out a lot and gives them a greater advantage when searching for jobs. Therefore reassuring, that they will indeed, be the legit bread-winners. If men could do the exact same thing, they would get the same amount of praise and reassurance such as women.

I think my thesis is very well correct. I say this because society makes each individual men and women both, feel that they are obligated to do a certain thing and in a certain way. For example, in the text it says “So I asked him to marry me.” Recalls Stagg. Stagg was the woman whom asked her boyfriend to marry her. In most cases, people usually believe that men should be the ones who propose. But, I think that’s not true. If the man or men isn’t doing what he’s expected to do and didn’t have the courage to step-up and propose, then that woman should be allowed to do so. Regardless of gender. This is just another way society makes things and run things a certain way.

Bottom line, if men applied themselves more, they would be more successful, have no worries about what they think they should be doing, and excel in school and any other thing they do, the same way as women.
